Kosi Brumbies have National Cultural Heritage Value

The following is an excerpt from the executive summary of the National Cultural Heritage Values Assessment & Conflicting Values Report to the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.  This report informed NSWNPWS in preparing its draft Wild Horse Management Plan for Kosciuszko National Park and provides interesting insights into wild horse history and management in Australia. The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) is a non-governmental professional organisation formed in 1965, with headquarters in Paris. The The Burra Charter was first adopted in 1979, at the historic South Australian mining town of Burra and, following revisions, was adopted by Australia ICOMOS in 2013.
