ABA raises concerns over decision process for Barmah Forest Brumbies

ABA recently posted a Call for Action for people to complete a survey on Parks Victoria’s website in regard to the Barmah Forest Brumbies.   It was understood by ABA that no decision would be made on removing the horses until the stakeholders steering committee consultation process and final report were completed. However the stakeholders committee was informed late 2013, before their review was completed, that Parks Victoria had now made the decision to remove Barmah’s Brumbies. ABA Congratulates the Winners of the first Australian Brumby Challenge

On the first weekend in February 2014, the Victorian Brumby Association hosted the finals of the first Australian Brumby Challenge.   Brumbies from the Victorian Alps and from Kosciuszko National Park were trained by approved trainers over 100 days.  A huge effort by all humans and horses to start off the Year of the Horse. COLLEEN Clancy’s friends might know her better than she knows herself. Lil Rascal goes from pest to partner

TAMING a brumby in 100 days is no easy task, but Wangaratta horse instructor Rachel Clarkson has done just that.  Ms Clarkson, 25, spent three months building a relationship with Lil Rascal, given to her to tame by the Victorian Brumby Association.
